Paper on China Exim Bank

In December, International Rivers Network published a background paper on China Export Import Bank, the most important financier of Chinese investment projects overseas. The paper briefly summarizes the role of China Exim Bank, lists some of the projects that the Bank is financing, and analyzes the social and environmental impacts of these projects. The paper presents the expectations of international NGO networks regarding export credit agencies and the environment, and identifies some initial steps that China Exim Bank has taken to address its social and environmental responsibility.
